E-078 Reason Codes

In early 2021, new missed pay reason codes were added to the off-cycle pay request module (E-078). To avoid delays and deduction errors, it is critical that you always select the reason code associated with the off-cycle’s unique scenario (see below list). Use the below chart for an overview of current E-078 reason codes:

Partial Pay Late Hire

Hire information was entered after the on-cycle processing cut-off. E-078 required for missing partial pay.

Partial Pay FTE Increase

Retroactive increase in job FTE. E-078 required for missing partial pay.

Partial Pay No Access Time Report

EE did not have access to submit on-cycle timesheet. E-078 required for missing partial pay.

Partial Pay Late Time Sheet Submission

Timesheet was not updated for the full pay period and only partial hours were captured on-cycle. E-078 required for remaining hours.

Legal (Severance, Court Order)

E-078 required to process a legal, severance, or settlement off-cycle payment.

Exception – Damage Pay

Employee did not sign oath prior to the first day of work.  E-078 required to process uncovered pay.

Timesheet was not submitted/approved for on-cycle processing. E-078 required to pay EE for the full pay period.
